The China International forum on Work Safety with theme of Infrastructure Development and Capacity Building in Work Safety was held in Beijing, China from 31 August 2010 hosted by the State Administration of Work Safety. Beijing Statement in support of the Seoul Declaration was adopted at the special session.

A new Website on the Canary Islands Declaration has been opened by the Canary Islands government to promote prevention culture in support of the Seoul Declaration on Safety and Health at Work. The Website includes information, photos and videos about the Declaration and related events and prevention initiatives.

International Seminar on the Best Implementation on the Seoul Declaration was held on July 5, 2010 in COEX, Seoul, Korea. The seminar hosted keynote speakers from ILO, ISSA, and KOSHA and had 7 presentations from domestic and abroad on the best implementation on the Seoul Declaration. During the seminar, a support statement of the Seoul Declaration was adopted.

ILO Governing Body approves new list of occupational diseases

The Governing Body of the International Labour Office (ILO) approved a new list of occupational diseases at its meeting on 25 March 2010. Designed to assist countries in the prevention, recording, notification and, if applicable, compensation of diseases caused by work, this new list replaces the one in the Annex to the Recommendation No. 194.
